Readability is a tool that lets you read articles online without the ads and clutter. Simply set up your parameters like font size and drag the icon to your toolbar. When you are reading an article on the Web (not a website but an article) click the Readability icon and, voila, a clean page to read.

In a New York Times article by Katherine Schulten young people 13 years and older are asked “What Are Your Favorite Books and Authors”? There are already 20 comments and most are lengthy in terms of blog comments.

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Board of Directors has voted to re-name the title of media specialists… school librarians! I’m glad to hear it. Deja Vu all over again!
I’m looking forward to two weeks off. December 18 is my last work day for the year. It has been BUSY at work! I’m finishing up the cataloging of math books that came over from our former math and science center and I’m planning some new professional development for next year. Maybe I will even get going on buying that Palm Pre over vakay.
A colleague told me about a cool website called Senduit. If you want to share large files that get clipped by organizational email systems, just upload them to this site, set an expiration date, and forward the link provided to your audience.
