My Amazon Recommendations

You know how you go to Amazon and they have “Recommended for you” items listed? Mine are very interesting today. First, the book, “Tiki Modern” which I actually own; second, “Alias Smith and Jones, Season 1” which I watched when I was a teenager; and the book “Hawaii, a Sense of Place” which is recommended because last year I purchased a book about rattan furniture. Good job Amazon!

Big news!

I am happy to report that tomorrow my book is going to print! I have worked since July of 2008 on a book for Libraries Unlimited. My book is titled “Parents and the Web: Are You Tech Savvy?.” It has been a long, tough year and I am so happy that this project has come to completion. The book is for parents of K-12 students but also for anyone who wants to learn the basics of Web tools. It is slated for publication in September. I don’t even know what the cover looks like! I am excited and exhausted. More information to come!

A Web 2.0 Week!

Yesterday I presented a blog workshop (WordPress MU) and tomorrow I am presenting podcasting in a district. Last week I presented a half day Introduction to Web 2.0 to media specialists. I love it when attendees find a tool that they can apply to their classroom or media center.

My book is now available!
